About Eric Putnam BCMA Inc.
More Than a Name, a Standard
Eric Putnam BCMA Inc. is a family tree care company helping property owners make informed decisions about their trees without fear, guesswork, or unnecessary sales pressure.
Our family’s experience in tree care dates back to 1970. Today, we combine that history with modern arboricultural science, professional evaluation, and a commitment to protecting trees whenever preservation is reasonable.
A Family History Rooted in Tree Care
Tree care is more than the service we provide. It is work our family has grown up around, and a responsibility passed between generations. Since 1970, that experience has shaped how we evaluate trees, communicate with property owners, and approach the long-term consequences of tree care decisions.
Our history provides practical field experience, but experience alone is not enough. Arboriculture continues to develop as research improves our understanding of tree biology, soil systems, pests, disease, structure, and environmental stress. Eric Putnam BCMA Inc. brings those two perspectives together: generations of practical tree care experience and a continuing commitment to modern tree science.
What Guides Our Recommendations
Our responsibility is not to sell the most work. It is to help each client understand the tree, the available options, and the reasoning behind our recommendation.
Recommend What Is Necessary
We recommend work when it serves a reasonable biological, structural, or property-related purpose. If no work is currently necessary, we are willing to say so.
Preserve Trees When Reasonable
Tree removal should not be treated as the automatic response to every defect or concern. When a tree can be preserved safely and responsibly, we explain the available options.
Teach, Not Preach
Property owners deserve to understand what is happening, what options are available, and why a recommendation may or may not be appropriate.
Led and Mentored by Eric Putnam
The company is led and mentored by Charles Eric Putnam, an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist with decades of practical experience in tree biology, diagnosis, preservation, and professional arboriculture.
The Board Certified Master Arborist credential represents one of the highest levels of certification offered by the International Society of Arboriculture. Maintaining that credential requires advanced knowledge, documented experience, and continuing education.
Eric’s experience and approach help guide the recommendations, training, and standards followed throughout Eric Putnam BCMA Inc.
